Junk Removal in Harvest

Harvest is the fastest-growing corner of Madison County, and you can see it from the road: new streets off Highway 53, Capshaw Road, Wall Triana and Old Railroad Bed Road with the sod still showing seams. Every one of those driveways has a stack of what the builder left behind, and every one of those garages is full within a year. That is most of what we haul in Harvest.

We price junk removal in Harvest the same way we do in Huntsville, by load size from a photo, with no drive-out charge for the northwest side of the county.

The older part of Harvest, the farmhouses and ranches along Harvest Road and Highway 53 from before the subdivisions came, gets the estate and barn work instead.

Brand-new two-story homes on a freshly paved street, one driveway stacked with cardboard, pallet scraps and a broken door

New-build leftovers

Closing day comes with a free pile. Half a pallet of tile, extra flooring boxes, scrap trim, the broken closet door the builder said someone would come back for, the cardboard from every appliance, the pallets, and a few five-gallon buckets of something. It lines one wall of the garage, and six months later the second car is in the driveway.

Nobody from the builder comes back. We take it as a load, usually a quarter to a half, and the usable pieces, unopened tile and flooring, go to the donation outlets in Huntsville that resell building materials. Cardboard and pallets go to recycling.

If you are still finishing the house, a fence crew's scrap, the old shed from the lot next door, the mulch bags and the drywall from the bonus-room finish all ride on the same truck.

The sod seams and the fresh asphalt are the giveaway. If your street still has a model home open, your garage has this pile in it.

The first-year garage cleanout

The first garage cleanout in a new house usually happens about a year after the move. The boxes that never got unpacked are still stacked where the movers put them. The old patio set is behind them. The treadmill from the apartment is in front. The builder leftovers are under all of it.

We clear the garage in one visit: keep pile by the door, donation pieces set aside, the rest on the truck, floor swept. Most Harvest garages are a half load to a full load, and the job takes a morning. Bonus rooms and the attic over the garage go the same way.

A lot of Harvest families are on their second or third house in five years because of Redstone and the contractor transfers, and the garage is where the last two moves ended up. That is the job we see most out here.

The second cleanout comes when a kid leaves for college or the family gets orders again, and the pile is mostly furniture that time.

Services in Harvest

Construction debris and yard waste for the builder leftovers and the limbs after a storm rolls through the open ground north of the city. Garage cleanouts for the first-year pile and every pile after it. Appliance removal for the garage fridge, the washer-dryer pair the new house already had, and the water heater a plumber swapped out. Furniture removal for the sectional that fit the apartment and not the house. Estate cleanouts for the older farmhouses along Highway 53 and Harvest Road.

Scheduling and access

Most Harvest neighborhoods have no gate, but the newest ones do; put the code in the form. HOA rules on curbside piles are common, so we load from the garage and nothing waits at the street. School traffic on Highway 53 and Capshaw Road around Sparkman and the elementary schools makes mid-morning the easiest window; say if you need early or late.

The truck runs the northwest side of the county together, Harvest, Monrovia, Toney and the Madison side of County Line Road, so same-day pickups are common when a job is already out here.

Pickup day works the same in a new house as in an old one: the crew confirms the price at the door, loads from the garage, and sweeps.

Nearby

Toney is the next stop north on Highway 53, Monrovia is south toward Huntsville, and Madison starts at County Line Road. The truck works the northwest side of the county as one loop, Harvest in the middle of it, so a Harvest pickup often rides with another a few streets over.
