Junk Removal in New Market

New Market is northeast of Huntsville out Winchester Road, where the subdivisions give way to rural homes, small farms and the long views toward the mountains that make the storm track easy to see coming. This end of Madison County has been hit hard more than once, and junk removal in New Market is as much about what a storm leaves behind as about what a garage fills up with.

We haul for New Market at the same price as Huntsville, by load size from a photo, with no drive-out charge for the Winchester Road side of the county.

The houses on Winchester Road, Hurricane Road and the roads toward Hurricane Creek are mostly on acreage, with a barn or a shop behind them, and that shapes most of what we haul.

Storm-track cleanups

Spring, March through May, and again in November. When a system crosses the northeast county, the morning after looks the same in every yard: oak and pine limbs down, fence sections flat, a shed roof peeled back, the trampoline in a tree, and water inside where a window went.

The first thing to do is take photos for the adjuster. The second is to send us a few of them. We cut limbs to a size we can carry, stack the sheet metal and the fence panels, bag the loose debris, and take out the water-damaged contents from inside the house: carpet, a soaked sofa, boxes from the floor of a closet. Brush goes to the yard-waste facility, metal to recycling, the rest to the proper facility.

In the week after a big system we work New Market yards in the order the photos come in, so send them as soon as the yard is safe to walk.

The barns and sheds take the worst of it. A shed that lost its roof usually has a shed's worth of contents soaked under it, and we take the contents, the roof tin and the shed itself if it is done.

Family property cleanouts

A lot of New Market land has been in one family for a long time, and when the last parent moves to Huntsville or passes, the house and the outbuildings have to be emptied by children who live in Nashville or Atlanta. That is an estate cleanout, and out here it almost always includes a barn, a shop and a fence row along with the house.

We work from your keep list and a lockbox if you cannot be there. Anything personal, photos, papers, the box in the closet, goes to a keep room and stays. Usable furniture goes to donation. The barn's metal goes to recycling. The rest goes to the facility. You get pictures of every empty room and the barn when it is done, usually over two days.

The barn is usually the biggest load on the property and the one the family least wants to walk into. We start there.

Realtors handling the sale get the same service with a listing date instead of a keep list.

Services in New Market

Construction debris and yard waste is the big one here, for storm cleanup and for the fence and shed projects that follow. Estate and house cleanouts for the family places. Appliance removal for the freezers in the shop and the washer-dryer pair in the carport. Furniture removal and garage cleanouts for everything else. Gurley and the Paint Rock side of the mountain are a short run east and the same crew covers them.

The storm loads are first come, first served in the week after a system; the family places get scheduled a visit at a time.

Nearby

Hazel Green and Meridianville are west across the county roads, Gurley is south over the ridge on the Paint Rock side, and the Huntsville line is where Winchester Road meets Moores Mill Road. The truck works the northeast side of the county as one route, so a New Market pickup often rides with another one a few miles away, and same-day is possible when a job is already out here.
